LIJIN CLINIC Seoul | Personalized Lifting, Skin Treatments & Body Contouring in Myeongdong
If you’re researching aesthetic treatments in Korea from the U.S., it’s easy to end up comparing device names: Thermage, Ultherapy, Volnewmer, Sofwave, XERF. But if I were flying all the way to Seoul for treatment, my first question wouldn’t be “Which machine is strongest?” It would be What am I actually trying to change, and what’s causing it?
That’s what makes LIJIN CLINIC in Myeongdong worth looking at. The interesting part isn’t simply that it has a broad technology lineup. Skin laxity, tissue descent, volume loss, pigmentation, pores, acne scarring and body contouring are different problems. And for an American planning a Korea trip, recovery time before a long flight home matters just as much as fitting the appointment into a Seoul itinerary.

Start with the cause, not the device
A softer jawline doesn’t automatically mean “loose skin.” Tissue position, fat distribution, volume and skin quality can all play a role. That’s why I’d rather start with an assessment than pick a treatment because it happens to be trending in Korea.
Is elasticity or skin thickness the main issue?
Have the cheek or jawline tissues shifted?
Is volume truly lost, or has its distribution changed?
How much recovery can you build in before flying home?
Custom Thermage FLX vs. Design Ultherapy Prime
Thermage FLX uses radiofrequency, while Ultherapy Prime uses focused ultrasound. Because they work differently, I wouldn’t reduce the decision to “Which one is better?”
Facial anatomy, skin and tissue condition, volume and the degree of change you want are more useful variables to discuss.
It’s not just about lifting
| Personalized lifting | Thermage FLX, Ultherapy Prime, Volnewmer, Shurink Universe, V-RO Advance, Sofwave, XERF and Alltite use different energy types. Skin thickness, tissue, volume and downtime all matter when comparing options. |
|---|---|
| Skin · pores · scars | Potenza, PicoPlus and CureJet may be discussed for texture, pores, scars and pigmentation depending on the skin assessment. |
| Pigmentation · acne · hair reduction | Clarity II, NeoBeam and PicoPlus serve different goals, from pigment concerns to acne and laser hair reduction. |
| Skin boosters | DermaShine is a delivery system; the actual product and indication should be selected separately. |
| Face & body contouring | ONDA, EMFACE and EMSCULPT NEO address different goals involving contour, muscle and body shape. |

The lineup broadly spans lifting, skin/laser, skin boosters and body contouring. To me, the value of having multiple options isn’t doing more treatments—it’s having more ways to match the treatment to the actual problem.
